Description
This Damascus sword measures 43 inches overall, and it was shaped to look like nothing else on the shelf. A flowing, wood-grain Damascus blade meets a twisted iron guard that curls into scrolls at both ends. It works as medieval wall decor, as the centerpiece of a collection, or as an heirloom gift meant to be passed down.
THE BLADE
The blade is built from 1095 and 15N20 steel, folded and layered until the grain rises into flowing patterns that never repeat. Every layer is worked by a blacksmith at the forge, then finished by hand. A central fuller runs down its length. Blade thickness is 7 gauge and hardness is HRC 52-54.
THE GUARD
The guard is hand-forged iron, twisted into an S-shape and finished with scrolled ends. You can see the hammer and the twist in it, which is what separates forged work from cast parts.
THE GRIP
A solid rosewood handle with textured leather wrap, topped with a hand-shaped steel pommel. Because the pommel is shaped by hand, its design may differ slightly from the photos, and yours will be its own version.
FULL TANG CONSTRUCTION
The steel runs through the entire handle, so the piece feels solid, balanced and built to last a lifetime.
