A hand forged Viking cutlery set for the man who says he doesn’t want anything: knife, fork, spoon and eating pick in carbon steel, with twisted handles, packed in a faux leather roll he can hang from his belt. This Christmas gift for him looks like it came from a blacksmith’s fire, because it did.
WHY IT MAKES A GOOD GIFT
Hard to buy for? This is the present that gets picked up and turned over in the hand. The hammer marks are still on the blades, every handle is twisted by hand, and the roll makes it feel like a proper kit, not a box of forks. THE FOUR PIECES

LOOK AFTER IT LIKE A CAST IRON PAN
This is real carbon steel, not stainless. Wash by hand, dry straight away, and rub on a thin coat of cooking oil afterwards. Do that and it lasts for decades. Leave it wet and it rusts. Never put it in the dishwasher.
